Phytosanitary Treatment
The quarantine phytosanitary treatment is a phytosanitary measure determined by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply – MAPA and carried out only by accredited companies (check the list of companies below), with the objective of ensuring that plants, parts of plants and their products, as well as wooden packaging and supports, in export and import operations are pest free.
For this purpose, the MAPA accredits companies that can carry out the phytosanitary treatments for authorized quarantine purposes and issue the respective Treatment Certificates or apply the IPPC mark, as provided for in the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 – NIMF 15.
